May is Military Appreciation Month. Rhode Island has answered the call in every conflict since the Revolutionary War. This month and every month, I am grateful to those who have served for their bravery and sacrifice to protect our country. 🇺🇸
Americans work hard and deserve a vacation. But 27 million workers get no paid time off at all. That’s wrong - and there’s growing momentum to fix it with my PTO Act, which guarantees paid vacation for all workers. I joined @stevescully to talk about it ⬇️
Last week we commemorated Armenian Remembrance Day. We must never forget the 1.5 million people systematically killed during the Armenian genocide, and commit to ensuring these atrocities never happen again.
We need to stop spending money on wars in foreign countries and tax cuts for foreign billionaires, and spend our money here at home.
Rhode Island's beaches are part of who we are. That is why this summer I am cosponsoring the BEACH Act, to enhance testing and mitigation of contamination so beaches can stay clean, accessible, and open for all.
