Ms. KAPTUR. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to share with my colleagues information regarding a recent event held in my home district. On Saturday, October 17, 2026, I hosted a roundtable in Toledo, Ohio alongside the Democratic Women's Caucus and Chair Teresa Leger Fernandez to shed light on the corruption and abuse perpetrated by Jeffrey Epstein and Leslie Wexner. We must hold these crooks accountable and bring justice to the dozens of victims who suffered at their hands. Lex Wexner is the richest man in Ohio with a net worth of $11.5 Billion. He has been influential across the state, namely with his development of the New Albany community and his large donations to The Ohio State University. Wexner employed Epstein as his financial advisor, thus entrusting him with his entire estate and granting him permission to buy and sell properties and other holdings on his behalf. This status propelled Epstein into wealth and bankrolled his trafficking ring. Without Wexner, there is no Epstein. In bringing together survivors, advocates, and researchers, we amplify the consequences of Wexner's influence in Ohio and elevate the voices of survivors.
