Canton, Ohio 2008 Pb NAAQS Attainment Demonstration

This document is the State of Ohio’s State Implementation Plan (SIP) for the 2008 Pb NAAQS in the Canton Nonattainment Area. The Canton Nonattainment Area, located in Stark County, Ohio, encompasses a portion of the city of Canton, a portion of Canton Township, a portion of Osnaburg Township, a portion of Nimishillen Township, a portion of Plain Township, and a portion of the city of Louisville. The Canton Nonattainment Area includes air emissions of lead from two sources, primarily Republic Steel’s Canton Facility. Republic Steel’s Canton Facility (Ohio EPA facility identification # 1576050694) is located at 2633 8th Street Northeast, Canton, Ohio, 44704. The only other source of air emissions of lead in the Canton Nonattainment Area is the United Rolls, Inc. Facility (herein referred to as “United Rolls”). United Rolls (Ohio EPA facility identification # 1576050177) is located at 1400 Grace Avenue Northeast, Canton, Ohio, 44705.
