AR038 Arkansas Regional Haze plan for the Second Planning Period submitted to EPA via cover letter dated August 5, 2022 (AR-60)

Pursuant to the Clean Air Act (CAA), EPA is proposing to approve the Arkansas State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted on August 8, 2022, and clarified on July 29, 2025, as satisfying requirements of the CAA and EPA’s Regional Haze Rule for visibility protection in mandatory Class I Federal areas for the program’s second implementation period. Arkansas’ SIP submission addresses the requirement that states must revise their long-term strategies for making reasonable progress to prevent any future and remedy any existing man-made visibility impairment in Class I areas. EPA is taking this action pursuant to CAA sections 110 and 169A.
