Air Quality Plan; California; Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District; Rescissions of Outdated Requirements within Riverside County

The Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District’s (“MDAQMD’s”) portion of the California State Implementation Plan (SIP) has multiple agencies rules that facilities are subject to. In order to “cleanup” the SIP, the District submitted certain South Coast Air Quality Management District (“SCAQMD”) rules that are only applicable to the Riverside County portion of the MDAQMD portion of the SIP for rescission based on the absence of applicable sources or the presence of corresponding District rules in the MDAQMD portion of the SIP that will ensure Clean Air Act requirements continue to be met notwithstanding rescission of the SCAQMD rules.
