Requests that the FDA Formally recognize the concepts of spirit, soul, and spirits and souls as components of human well-being that fall within FDA’s jurisdiction over health under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act; Acknowledge that FDA’s regulatory authority extends to spirit, soul, and spirits and souls when they are referenced in health claims, labeling, or clinical trial endpoints.
