Trump Accounts Contribution Pilot Program (REG-117002-25)

These proposed regulations contain rules implementing section 6434 of the Internal Revenue Code, Trump accounts contribution pilot program, enacted by Congress in the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act, P.L. 119-21 (139 Stat. 72). Section 6434 provides for one-time, $1,000 pilot program contributions by the Federal government to the Trump accounts of eligible children. These proposed regulations describe how pilot program contributions under section 6434 work and include the rules for who is eligible to receive a $1,000 pilot program contribution and how elections are made.
