Information Collection: Rock Burst Control Plan (Pertains to Underground Metal/Nonmetal Mines)

To fulfill its statutory mandate to promote miners’ health and safety, MSHA requires information under the information collection request (ICR) titled “Rock Burst Control Plan (Pertains to Underground Metal/Nonmetal Mines).” This information collection is intended to ensure that mine operators have a plan in place in the event of a rock burst to reduce the risks to miners.
