Fisheries of the Northeastern United States; Framework 18 to the Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass Fishery Management Plan

This action proposes changes to the two exemptions from the minimum mesh size requirements in the commercial summer flounder fishery. This action proposes expansion of the geographical area of the summer flounder Small Mesh Exemption Program and modification to the program's review process and criteria. Additionally, this action proposes revisions to the definition of a "flynet" as it relates to the existing flynet exemption from the commercial summer flounder minimum mesh size requirements.
