Modernizing Requirements Relating to the Physical Protection of Category 1 and Category 2 Quantities of Radioactive Material

Consistent with Executive Order 14300, “Ordering the Reform of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission,” the NRC is conducting a review and wholesale revision of its regulations. This initiative aims to modernize the NRC's regulations on the physical protection of Category 1 and Category 2 quantities of radioactive material to enhance efficiency.
