Penalty Inflation Adjustments for Civil Money Penalties

In accordance with the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990, as amended by the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, and further amended by the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015, section 701: Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015, this final rule incorporates the penalty inflation adjustments for the civil money penalties contained in the Social Security Act.
