Description
In this rulemaking, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) proposes to establish the approximately 18,367-acre “Nashoba Valley" American viticultural area (AVA) in Worcester County, Massachusetts. The proposed viticultural area is not within any other established AVA. TTB is taking this action in response to a petition from a local wine industry member. TTB designates viticultural areas to allow vintners to better describe the origin of their wines and to allow consumers to better identify wines they may purchase.
