Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters surrounding Savannah, Georgia, for a fireworks display. The safety zone will encompass all waters within a 1200-foot radius of the Savannah River in Savannah, GA. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, the marine environment from the potential hazards created by a fireworks event. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port (COTP) Savannah or a designated representative.
