Safety Zone; Sammis Power Plant, Ohio River Mile Marker 54 to 55, Stratton, OH

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone on the navigable waters of the Ohio River from mile marker 54 to mile marker 55. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters during a power plant demolition on October 5, 2024. This proposed rulemaking would prohibit persons and vessels from being in the safety zone unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Pittsburgh or a designated representative.
