Description
The Coast Guard is establishing temporary security zones within certain waters of Lake Michigan, and the Root River near the Main Street Bridge in Racine, WI. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters during a visit by the Democratic Party Nomination for Vice President of the United States on October 22, 2024. This rule prohibits persons and vessels from being in the security zones unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Lake Michigan (COTP) or a designated representative.
