Safety Zone; West Island Tower Demolition; San Joaquin River, Antioch, CA

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for the navigable waters of the San Joaquin River, surrounding West Island, near Antioch, CA, in support of utility tower demolition operations on November 14, 2024, or if there is inclement weather, will be rescheduled for November 21, 2024. The safety zone is necessary to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards associated with explosives and demolition. Unauthorized persons or vessels are prohibited from entering, transiting, or remaining in the zone without the permission of the Captain of the Port (COTP) San Francisco or a designated representative.
