Safety Zone; Chickamauga Creek, Gallipolis, OH

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters encompassing the Chickamauga Creek and inland to the Gallipolis Boat Club at Ohio River MM270. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created by a gasoline discharge from an above ground storage tank. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Ohio Valley. Further, the operation of a vessel currently moored at the Gallipolis Boat Club is prohibited.
