Safety Zone; Albemarle and Chesapeake Canal, Chesapeake, VA

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters on a portion of the Albemarle and Chesapeake Canal in the vicinity of the Great Bridge Bridge, in Chesapeake, Virginia. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards which might arise during battle reenactment that is planned to include blank cannon fire. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Virginia or their designated representative.
