Safety Zone; San Diego Bay, San Diego, CA

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for the navigable waters in the vicinity of the General Dynamics NASSCO shipyard in San Diego Bay, San Diego, CA, during the launch of the USNS THURGOOD MARSHALL (T-AO 211). The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards associated with the launching and subsequent berthing of the vessel. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector San Diego, or their designated representative.
