Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a special local regulation (SLR) for navigable waters of the Ohio River from mile markers 601.0 to 610.0 on May 25, 2026. This special local regulation is necessary to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards from this marine event on these navigable waters near Louisville, KY during the Mayor’s Hike, Bike and Paddle on May 25, 2026. This regulation prohibits persons and vessels from entering the regulated area unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector Ohio Valley or their designated representative.
