There is an Army Medical Department in the Army. The Army Medical Department consists of—
((1)) the Surgeon General;
((2)) the Assistant Surgeons General;
((3)) the Medical Corps;
((4)) the Dental Corps;
((5)) the Veterinary Corps;
((6)) the Medical Service Corps;
((7)) the Army Nurse Corps; and
((8)) the Army Medical Specialist Corps.
