SA 6760. Mr. KENNEDY submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 4668, to protect the name, image, and likeness rights of, and provide protections for, student athletes and to promote fair competition among intercollegiate athletics, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
At the appropriate place in title I, insert the following:
SEC. . LIMITATION ON COLLEGE ATHLETICS TICKET PRICE
INCREASES.
With respect to intercollegiate athletic competitions for
an intercollegiate sport held during an academic year, an
institution, conference, or intercollegiate athletic
association may not increase the price of tickets to attend
such competitions by an amount that is greater than 4 percent
of the amount charged for tickets to attend such competitions
for the same intercollegiate sport during the preceding
academic year.
