This bill makes all types of whisky fall under one tariff code and face the same import duty rate. It updates the tariff schedule to use a single 8‑digit subheading for whiskies, and tells the U.S. International Trade Commission to add detailed statistical suffixes under that subheading. This aims to make import rules clearer and more consistent for whisky products entering the United States . It also sets one uniform duty rate for all whiskies, instead of different rates for different kinds .
