ASSIST Act of 2025

This proposal lets the Department of Veterans Affairs treat certain car changes as medical care, so they can be covered for veterans who need them. It lists items like ramps and kneeling systems, lowered floors or raised doors/roofs, air conditioning, mobility lifts, easier entry/exit changes, wheelchair tie-downs, and adapted seating for drivers or passengers .
