Introduced on January 9, 2025 by Lauren Underwood
On motion to suspend the rules and pass the bill Agreed to by voice vote. (text: CR H2551-2552)
Received in the Senate and Read twice and referred to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.
This bill requires Amtrak to have a baby changing table in at least one restroom in every passenger car, including in restrooms that meet disability access rules. Restrooms with a changing table must also have clear signs so riders can find them easily.
It applies to trains that Amtrak owns and operates and that are bought after the bill becomes law. This aims to make travel easier for parents and caregivers and more accessible for everyone.
