Referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.
This bill widens who can be quickly removed at the border. It removes certain exceptions during the entry screening process, so more people can be placed into fast-track removal. It also changes the law so that fast-track removal can apply to anyone found inadmissible for any reason listed in section 212, not just for fraud or lacking proper documents. The bill also deletes a subsection that had been an exception and renumbers the following part. Together, these changes expand expedited removal and limit carve-outs during inspection.
