Referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
Expresses the House’s support for designating April 7, 2025 as World Health Day and endorses the World Health Organization’s 2025 theme “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures,” starting a yearlong focus on maternal and newborn health. It also states concerns about U.S. health care problems — rising costs, limited access, declining life expectancy, maternal and infant mortality, mental‑health challenges, workforce safety, and racial and income disparities — and urges coordinated attention to protect children’s ability to develop, survive, and thrive.
The resolution is symbolic and nonbinding: it records findings, highlights populations most affected by poor access to care, and calls for agency cooperation and greater public health focus rather than creating new programs, funding, or regulatory requirements.
