This bill would let states go longer between renewals for certain Medicaid programs that help people get care at home or in their communities. It changes Medicaid rules so these waivers and related state plan options don’t need to be renewed as often, aiming to cut paperwork and keep services more stable for families and providers.
The change applies to parts of Medicaid law that cover home- and community-based services, by updating Section 1915 of the Social Security Act.
