Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to provide education and outreach—within one year of enactment—explaining how the Medicare Benefit Policy Manual applies to occupational therapy services used to treat substance use disorders or mental health disorders, and to clarify the appropriate HCPCS billing codes for those services. The aim is to reduce confusion about Medicare coverage and coding so providers and billing staff better understand when and how to bill for occupational therapy in these clinical settings.
