This bill would create a new high‑skilled work visa for people from South Korea. It adds a visa option under the E category for workers in “specialty occupations,” as long as the U.S. employer files an attestation with the Department of Labor. Spouses and children could come too, but they would not count against the cap.
The number of new main applicants allowed each year would be limited to 15,000. This cap applies only to the workers themselves, not their family members. The bill also updates existing law to include this new visa in the definition of specialty occupations and to use the same employer attestation rules for this category.
