The bill increases transparency and ties executive pay to short-term financial and service metrics to protect taxpayers and improve accountability, but it risks discouraging needed long-term investments, encouraging metric gaming or conservative management, and adds near-term reporting burdens.
Civil Preparedness for Agroterrorism Exercise Act of 2026
The bill strengthens coordinated testing and planning to reduce agroterrorism and public-health risks—helping responders, health systems, and food businesses be better prepared—at the cost of added public and private expense and potential expansion of surveillance or restricted disclosure of sensitive findings.
TRUST Act
The bill strengthens national-security protections by restricting accession and increasing screening of nationals from certain countries, but it does so at the cost of narrowing the recruiting pool and risking career impacts and lost pathways to service and citizenship for affected immigrants.
National Training Center for Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems Act
The bill standardizes FAA‑coordinated counter‑UAS training to improve safety, readiness, and accountability, but does so at added cost and with rules that could delay emergency use and disadvantage smaller, under‑resourced agencies.
Deport Illegal Voters Act of 2025
The bill strengthens enforcement by making unlawful noncitizen voting an inadmissibility and aggravated-felony ground—deterring illegal voting and clarifying grounds—but risks imposing harsh, potentially disproportionate immigration penalties for inadvertent voters and creating legal uncertainty and uneven enforcement that could reduce due process for noncitizens.
SPACEPORT Act
The bill expands who can get space infrastructure grants and makes federal support more flexible to boost U.S. launch capacity and coordination, but it shifts some costs to nonfederal partners and leaves important funding and discretion-related uncertainties that could hinder planning and consistent implementation.
