Health Coverage Tax Credit Reauthorization Act of 2026
The bill extends the HCTC through 2029, helping eligible low‑income and unemployed individuals keep and afford health coverage, at the cost of increased federal spending and some added IRS administrative work.
To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 189 East Main Street in Xenia, Ohio, as the "Gilman 'Gil' Whitney Post Office Building".
It’s About Time Act
The bill aligns the federal fiscal year to the calendar year to simplify federal budgeting and coordination, but it creates short-term administrative costs and misalignment headaches for state and local governments that manage different fiscal cycles.
To amend the Dayton Aviation Heritage Preservation Act of 1992 to adjust the boundary of the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, and for other purposes.
The bill adds about one acre to Dayton's aviation historic park, enhancing preservation, public access, and educational opportunities with modest local tourism upside, while creating small new federal management responsibilities and modest taxpayer-funded maintenance costs.
PAPER Act
The bill preserves access and choice for consumers—especially seniors and those without internet—by requiring paper statements, at the trade-off of higher costs and administrative burdens for financial institutions and increased paper waste that may ultimately affect customers.
Historic Preservation Fund Reauthorization Act
The bill guarantees predictable federal funding and eligibility for historic preservation through 2035, helping state/local governments, nonprofits, and communities plan projects, but it locks in a $50M annual set‑aside that reduces budget flexibility and will lose purchasing power over time due to inflation.
Dayton National Cemetery Expansion Act of 2025
The bill quickly secures a no‑cost parcel for a national cemetery—improving burial access for veterans and avoiding local acquisition costs—at the expense of imposing costs and constraints on the VA and creating risks that unresolved site issues or diverted budgets could harm other services or raise future costs.
Susan Muffley Act of 2025
This bill restores full vested pension benefits and accelerates catch-up payments (with temporary tax relief) for specified retirees, but the cost is borne by taxpayers and could weaken PBGC finances while leaving some similarly harmed retirees excluded.
Recognizing the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Accords.
The resolution reaffirms U.S. support for Bosnia and its post‑1995 peace architecture—strengthening alliances and recognizing diaspora communities—while carrying the risk of domestic controversy over past military actions and the possibility of implied future costs to taxpayers.
