Requires Medicare Part D plans (standalone prescription drug plans and Medicare Advantage plans with drug coverage) to pay a new long-term care pharmacy supply fee for each specified prescription dispensed by a long‑term care pharmacy during plan years 2026 and 2027. The fee is collected from plans, penalties apply for failures to pay, and the Secretary of HHS must repay the aggregate fees to plans as subsidies; the GAO must study long‑term care pharmacy sustainability and report within 12 months.
Read twice and referred to the Committee on Finance.
