Introduced on September 10, 2025 by James P. McGovern
This proposal would change the Constitution to set rules for money in elections. It would cap how much can be given and spent in federal races, ban corporate spending in the political process, and tell Congress to create a public funding system for federal candidates who make the ballot. It would also let states set reasonable limits on campaign money in their own state and local elections .
