Introduced July 22, 2025 by Daniel Scott Sullivan · Last progress July 22, 2025
Disapproves and nullifies the Bureau of Land Management’s Central Yukon Record of Decision and Approved Resource Management Plan, declaring that document has no force or effect under the Congressional Review Act. The resolution cites a Government Accountability Office determination that the November 12, 2024 document is a rule subject to CRA disapproval.
As a result, implementation of that plan is halted, the plan cannot be given legal effect, and the agency is barred from issuing a substantially identical rule without further congressional authorization. The change directly affects federal land management decisions and stakeholders in the Central Yukon region, including local communities, Alaska Native entities, resource operators, and public land users.
Placed on Senate Legislative Calendar under General Orders. Calendar No. 181.
Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources discharged, by petition, pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 802(c).
