Creates an East Coast Bivalve Research Task Force and a coordinated research strategy to study quahog (hard clam) and other bivalve productivity, abundance, and causes of harvest variability or decline along the U.S. East Coast. The Task Force will include federal, state, Tribal, regional, industry, and academic representatives, form work groups (including for quahogs and climate impacts), produce an interim report within one year and a full report within two years, and receive administrative support with funds authorized as needed.
