Designates May as National Foster Care Month by expressing support for recognizing children and youth in foster care, honoring foster families and caregivers, and highlighting the needs and achievements of foster youth and alumni. The resolution summarizes recent data and challenges in the foster care system and urges continued work to improve prevention, reunification, and post‑permanency supports through existing child welfare programs. The measure is a nonbinding House resolution that raises awareness and encourages attention to Title IV‑B and IV‑E programs and other efforts that aim to keep children safe, promote family stability, and support young people transitioning from foster care.
