Recognizing the difficult challenges Black veterans faced when returning home after serving in the Armed Forces, their heroic military sacrifices, and their patriotism in fighting for equal rights and for the dignity of a people and a Nation.

Recognizes the military service, sacrifices, and civil‑rights contributions of Black Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces and calls on the Department of Veterans Affairs to continue efforts to eliminate disparities in health and benefits faced by minority veterans. The resolution recounts historical examples of valor and of discrimination after service, notes higher rates of illness and homelessness among Black veterans, and urges continued VA action to close those gaps.
