SEC. 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the "Secret Service Recording Accountability Act of 2025".
SEC. 2. Recording of communications
Section 3056 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:
(h) The Secret Service shall record all communications between agents deployed for the protection of a person entitled to such protection pursuant to this section. Such recordings shall be deleted not earlier than 90 days after the recording is made, except that, on request of any Committee set forth in paragraphs (1) through (4), the recording shall be retained for a period of not less than 18 months after the date the recording was made. In the event of an attempt to harm such a person or in the case of actual harm befalling such a person, such recordings shall be made available, upon request, to each of the following: (1) The Committees on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and of the Senate.
(2) The Committees on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives and of the Senate.
(3) The Committee on Oversight and Accountability of the House of Representatives.
(4) The Committee on Homeland Security of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate..
