Introduced on August 8, 2025 by Keith Self
Referred to the House Committee on Agriculture.
This bill makes the U.S. Department of Agriculture report every year on how well people in the United States are able to get enough healthy food, and how good their diets are. The report must compare people who use SNAP with those who don’t, explain any changes made to SNAP that year, and say whether those changes helped or not. It must also give Congress clear recommendations to improve food security and diet quality for everyone.
The first report is due within a year after the law’s start date, and then every year after that. The law takes effect 180 days after it is enacted.
