Designates support for observing Guam Liberation Day to honor the U.S. retaking of Guam in World War II, recognizes the island’s wartime suffering and resilience, and encourages the President to issue a proclamation asking Americans to observe the day with ceremonies and activities. The measure notes historical events from 1941–1944, calls out the amphibious landing at Asan Bay on July 21, 1944, and recognizes July 21, 2025 as the 81st anniversary; it is purely commemorative and creates no new spending or legal requirements.
Referred to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
