Referred to the Committee on Armed Services, and in addition to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
Designates September 22 as National Veterans Suicide Awareness and Remembrance Day, recognizes the Suicide Awareness and Remembrance (SAR) Flag, and urges use of the flag to honor service members and veterans who died by suicide and to raise awareness and reduce stigma. It also calls for the SAR Flag to be displayed on federal buildings year-round to support awareness efforts and remembrance.
