The Secretary of the Interior shall establish a permanent advisory committee called the Wildfire Science and Technology Advisory Board (the Board).

The Board shall coordinate the operationalization of wildfire research across the Federal Government, including identifying ways to translate research into practical applications; setting criteria to prioritize research for operational use; facilitating transition of prioritized research into operations; connecting research and operations entities; providing feedback to improve research outputs; and partnering with private sector and federally-funded research centers as appropriate.
