This bill tells the Department of Commerce to launch a nationwide education campaign about artificial intelligence (AI). Within 180 days, the agency must start sharing clear, easy-to-use information about where AI shows up in daily life and how to use AI products wisely to stay safe and informed . The campaign will teach people how AI works and where it has limits, how to spot altered media like deepfakes and chatbot-made content, and how to protect personal data. It will also do special outreach to groups more likely to be targeted by AI scams, including seniors . Materials must be offered in many languages, posted on a mobile-friendly website, and shared on TV, radio, and online. Small business owners will get tailored resources through existing small business networks .
The campaign must measure results, like how many people it reaches, how engaged they are, whether they adopt best practices, and how satisfied they are with the materials. It must update content each year, consult with experts and other agencies, and report to Congress annually. The effort ends five years after the law starts, and it uses existing funds—no new money is authorized .
