Recognizes the 50th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), honors students, families, educators, and advocates who have benefitted from or supported the law, and reaffirms the House’s commitment to fully implement IDEA so children with disabilities can access high-quality education. The resolution restates IDEA’s core principles—free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment, parental partnership, early intervention, and supports like training, assistive technology, and research—but does not create new legal requirements or change funding levels.
Referred to the House Committee on Education and Workforce.
