This bill would let each state choose to stay on daylight saving time all year. Right now, a state can already choose to stay on standard time year-round. This change simply adds the option for year-round daylight saving time by updating the federal time law (15 U.S.C. 260a). In short, states could decide not to “fall back” in the fall and keep the later evening daylight all year if they want.
