Introduced on February 18, 2025 by Mikie Sherrill
This bill renews and funds a national program that helps families of children and teens with special health care needs. It keeps local Family-to-Family Health Information Centers open and running, so families can get one-on-one guidance, training, and trusted information from staff who are often parents themselves, plus other experts. These centers also support doctors and other providers who work with these kids, helping everyone coordinate care more easily.
The bill extends funding for five years. It sets $6 million for April 1, 2025 through September 30, 2025, and $9 million for each year from 2026 through 2029, so the centers can continue offering free help to families in every state and territory.
