Redirects existing budget authority away from the Sentinel ground-based ICBM program and the W87‑1 warhead modification program and moves those available funds to K–12 Title I education. It also bars any fiscal year 2026 obligations for those two nuclear modernization efforts, directs a pause and reevaluation of the Sentinel program and a policy preference to extend the life of the Minuteman III force to at least 2050, and requires the National Academy of Sciences to study whether and how Minuteman III missiles can be safely extended to 2050 or beyond and report to Congress within about 7 months.
