Stop Illegal Entry Act of 2025
The bill increases penalties and centralizes immigration enforcement to deter and more severely punish repeat unlawful reentry and certain criminal conduct, at the cost of higher incarceration expenses, reduced judicial discretion, broader criminal exposure for immigrants, and greater strain and politicization of enforcement and detention systems.
Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Energy relating to "Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Walk-In Coolers and Walk-In Freezers".
To direct the Librarian of Congress to promote the more cost-effective, efficient, and expanded availability of the Annotated Constitution and pocket-part supplements by replacing the hardbound versions with digital versions.
The bill shifts the Annotated Constitution to digital-first distribution, expanding free online access and saving printing costs while reducing guaranteed physical copies and imposing digital-preservation and access challenges for those without reliable internet.
GPO Modernization Act of 2026
The bill broadens and modernizes public digital access and GPO operational flexibility—potentially lowering printing costs and improving discoverability—while shifting more reliance onto digital delivery, concentrating sale/disposal authority, and creating cost, oversight, and access trade-offs for print-dependent users, small libraries, agencies, and taxpayers.
Training Rural Law Enforcement Officers Act of 2026
The bill expands free DOJ training access for small, especially rural, law-enforcement by enabling grants to accredited nonprofits—improving training availability and adoption of best practices—while creating fiscal costs, accreditation competition, and a risk that limited grant funding will constrain the promised training scope.
Protecting Families from Fertility Fraud Act of 2026
The bill gives families stronger federal criminal remedies and extended time to seek accountability for misrepresented donor DNA across state lines, but in doing so federalizes aspects of reproductive care and creates legal uncertainty, greater liability and costs for providers, and potential civil‑liberties risks.
Workforce and Education Partnership Act of 2026
The bill boosts employer-aligned workforce training and local coordination to improve job outcomes, but may require new public resources, produce unequal access for rural/smaller providers, and narrow curricula toward short-term employer needs.
Stop Illegal Reentry Act
The bill tightens and clarifies criminal penalties and centralizes immigration-admission authority in DHS to deter unlawful reentry and simplify administration, but does so by increasing incarceration and costs and by concentrating executive discretion—potentially exposing individuals who relied on earlier removal procedures to much harsher penalties.
STEADFAST Act
The bill redirects public campaign-finance dollars into a federal election-security grant program to strengthen election infrastructure, trading away the public matching/check‑off financing option and some transparency over how those funds are used.
Turn It Down Act
The bill protects viewers from sudden loud streaming ads by requiring broadcast-equivalent loudness for IP-delivered video, at the cost of new compliance burdens and potential regulatory complexity that could raise industry and consumer costs.
