Protecting Privacy in Purchases Act
The bill protects firearms retailers' privacy and limits firearm-specific transaction labeling while preserving payment-security functions, but it shifts enforcement to the federal level, preempts local regulation, and leaves retailers without a private lawsuit option — potentially slowing remedies and imposing costs on banks.
Know Your Labor Rights Act
The bill increases worker access to standardized information about labor rights, improving awareness and protections, but does so by creating new compliance obligations, potential fines, and administrative costs for employers—especially small businesses.
DEPORT Act of 2026
This bill strengthens national-security-focused grounds and tools to bar, denaturalize, and remove people tied to terrorism-related offenses and clarifies enforcement authority, but does so by expanding detention and removal, narrowing discretionary relief, lowering evidentiary and timing protections in practice, and raising substantial risk of harsh or wrongful consequences for immigrants and their families.
United States Reciprocal Trade Act
The bill strengthens tools to counter foreign trade barriers and adds transparency and congressional review to protect U.S. producers and markets, but it raises the risk of higher consumer prices, retaliation, concentrated executive discretion, and procedural delays that could undermine rapid responses and create uncertainty.
Jumpstart Savings Act
The bill expands tax-advantaged savings and reporting to make apprenticeships and career/trade training more accessible and flexible (including rollovers from §529s), at the cost of reduced federal revenue, new state administrative burdens and complexity, and some risk of misuse of funds for non-educational purposes.
To transfer administrative jurisdiction over certain parcels of federal land in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, and for other purposes.
The bill expands and protects Harpers Ferry parkland while enabling CBP to establish a nearby training center without purchase costs, trading some local public access and potential revenue for operational efficiencies in federal training.
Faithful Patriot Campaign Medal Act
The bill provides formal recognition to veterans and eligible families for U.S.–Mexico border service through a new medal and application process, at modest cost and with potential delays and no guaranteed issuance to all next-of-kin.
Protecting America’s Treasures by Raising Inflow from Overseas Tourists (PATRIOT) Parks Act
The bill increases and localizes park funding and gives managers flexible tools to raise revenue, but does so by adding surcharges that raise costs for visitors (especially international tourists), risk uneven fee burdens, and add administrative complexity.
Easter Monday Act of 2025
The bill gives federal workers an extra paid holiday and modest morale benefits at the cost of small additional taxpayer expense and the annual loss/delay of some federal services.
Fairness for Stay-at-Home Parents Act
The bill protects new parents from being charged back employer health premiums and clarifies leave‑related coverage obligations, but shifts costs and administrative burdens onto employers and may prompt tighter hiring or leave policies that reduce flexibility for prospective parents.
