Protecting Privacy in Purchases Act
The bill protects firearms retailers' privacy and limits firearm-specific transaction labeling while preserving payment-security functions, but it shifts enforcement to the federal level, preempts local regulation, and leaves retailers without a private lawsuit option — potentially slowing remedies and imposing costs on banks.
Know Your Labor Rights Act
The bill improves worker access to clear, standardized information about NLRA rights at the cost of modest new compliance duties and civil‑penalty exposure for employers, particularly small businesses.
DEPORT Act of 2026
The bill strengthens tools to deny entry, revoke citizenship, detain, and remove people tied to terrorism-related convictions—giving DHS/DOJ clearer enforcement authority and some procedural safeguards—while substantially expanding risks of denaturalization, detention, loss of relief, family separation, civil‑liberty intrusions, and litigation/costs.
United States Reciprocal Trade Act
The bill strengthens tools to counter foreign trade barriers and adds transparency and congressional review to protect U.S. producers and markets, but it raises the risk of higher consumer prices, retaliation, concentrated executive discretion, and procedural delays that could undermine rapid responses and create uncertainty.
Jumpstart Savings Act
The bill expands tax-advantaged savings and reporting to make apprenticeships and career/trade training more accessible and flexible (including rollovers from §529s), at the cost of reduced federal revenue, new state administrative burdens and complexity, and some risk of misuse of funds for non-educational purposes.
To transfer administrative jurisdiction over certain parcels of federal land in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, and for other purposes.
The bill expands and protects additional National Park land while transferring a portion to CBP for a training center—improving federal training capacity and safeguarding unused land for future park use, at the cost of temporary reduced public access, potential noise/security impacts for visitors, and foregone sale proceeds for taxpayers.
Faithful Patriot Campaign Medal Act
The bill provides formal recognition to veterans and eligible families for U.S.–Mexico border service through a new medal and application process, at modest cost and with potential delays and no guaranteed issuance to all next-of-kin.
Protecting America’s Treasures by Raising Inflow from Overseas Tourists (PATRIOT) Parks Act
The bill gives parks more locally controlled revenue and boosts a national restoration fund to improve maintenance and projects, but does so by raising and varying fees (and adding collection complexity), which could deter some visitors and unevenly shift costs onto tourists and local communities.
Easter Monday Act of 2025
Adds a paid holiday that benefits federal employees' time off and morale while imposing modest taxpayer costs and a one-day annual pause or delay in federal services.
Fairness for Stay-at-Home Parents Act
The bill protects new parents from being charged back employer health premiums and clarifies leave‑related coverage obligations, but shifts costs and administrative burdens onto employers and may prompt tighter hiring or leave policies that reduce flexibility for prospective parents.
